Jerry Brooks
Jerry is the founder and President of J Brooks & Associates, Inc. After obtaining his Bachelor Degree in Accounting in 2000 from International College in Fort Myers, Florida, Jerry relocated to Houston, Texas. There he joined the accounting firm of Gainer Donnelly, & Desroches, LLP. Jerry was the lead accountant for various international corporations dealing with State, Federal, and International tax laws. Upon returning to Cape Coral with his family, Jerry put his knowledge to good use as the controller for an international education company and completed his Masters Degree in Business with an emphasis in Finance & International Business.
In 2004, Jerry was hired as the Chief Financial Officer for a local construction company. As CFO, Jerry dealt with local government officials, bank executives, and investors. His extensive knowledge of accounting and business has earned him a reputation as an intelligent and respected financial advisor throughout the area.
Jerry is also a professor at Southwest Florida College where he teaches business and accounting classes.
Lorene Brooks
Lorene joins J Brooks & Associates, Inc. as the Vice President and Director of Marketing after over 15 years experience in Office and Project Management. Her bookkeeper and management experience range from the small business, to large land development corporations, to international retail developers. As a long-time resident of Cape Coral, Florida, Lorene understand the need to keep local businesses operating and profitable. Her organizational skills and marketing techniques are a great asset to the team.
Lorene is also a published author. In 2005, Lorene published Southern-fried Yankee Cookbook, a compilation of recipes collected from her vast reaching family going back four generations. Her preserving of her family’s heritage bring her great joy.
